Who we are:
Beverly Place is a 55+ cooperative community that is beautiful, vibrant and modern. This isn’t your standard retirement community! In fact, you don’t have to be retired to live here. Many of our homeowners are still working. They choose Beverly Place because they’re looking for a living option that is comfortable and beautiful, with no worries about leaky roofs or broken appliances.

Beverly Place is owned and managed by 3 Sisters Development, headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The company’s leaders are natives of Mediapolis, Iowa, and bring their small-town values and common-sense attitudes with them to work every day. At Beverly Place, the focus is on you, and how we can provide you with a lifestyle that exceeds your expectations. Our list of amenities is long and growing, with on-site staff available to arrange activities and social opportunities. They can even offer assistance with some of your day-to-day needs. What is a senior cooperative?
Cooperative housing combines the advantages and pride of home ownership with the conveniences of community living. The “senior” in cooperative refers to the minimum age restriction of an owner, in our case, at least 55 years of age. The Board of Directors can authorize exemptions to this minimum age, but the vast majority of owners are over age 55.
Why choose a cooperative?
Cooperative housing offers seniors independent living with a twist. All the residents own the cooperative together, meaning they share in the tax and financial benefits of ownership. They also have an equal say when it comes to community decision-making. A Board of Directors is elected from among the homeowners and they make many of the decisions on how the co-op is run. Each member of the co-op is responsible for paying monthly fees. The fees will be used to pay for things like landscaping, maintenance and on-site staff.
From a social aspect, cooperatives are designed to bring residents together. Multiple common spaces, both inside and out, make it easier for homeowners to connect. The co-op also offers convenient access to nearby shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Because the co-ops are exclusive to those 55 and older, residents don’t have to worry about rowdy college students or other troublesome neighbors moving in next door.

Founder and CEO
Michelle is a high-end designer who resides in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She is the creative force behind Beverly Place, designing the entire property from the ground up. Michelle is a dynamic leader with exceptional business acumen and leads her team with a collaborative spirit and an eye for growth and opportunity. Director of Operations
Lori lives in Burlington, Iowa and serves as the full-time manager of the Burlington community. In addition, she oversees the building and grounds personnel in all locations. Lori brings a strong work ethic and outstanding customer service skills to Beverly Place, with the goal of continually exceeding the expectations of our homeowners.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Terri resides in Des Moines, Iowa. Her background is in sales and account management and she has spent nearly ten years working in retirement living. Terri’s role is to educate the public on the social and financial benefits of cooperative living and to communicate with the future homeowners of Beverly Place. Her strengths are in relationship building and problem solving, and she is excited about offering a housing solution that is a lifestyle, not just a building.
Director of Land Acquisition
Mike became a licensed real estate broker in Minnesota in 1976. Over the last 40 years, he acquired and developed a multitude of commercial and residential properties. In addition, Mike has an extensive background in residential design and construction, with 19 subdivisions and over 200 custom homes to his credit.
